Account & Data Deletion
This page explains how to delete your WearWhat (穿什么) account and the data associated with it.
How to delete your account in the app
- Open the WearWhat (穿什么) app.
- Go to the Profile tab (the person icon).
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You may be asked to sign in again to verify it's you.
The App reports success only after the deletion service confirms completion. If a required deletion step fails, your authentication account is kept so you can retry; access to account data remains paused by a deletion lock until the retry succeeds or support completes the request.
What gets deleted
- Your uploaded photos (full-body photos and clothing photos).
- Your AI-generated try-on images and saved looks.
- Your wardrobe items.
- Your profile details (such as gender, body type, height, and style preferences).
- Your Firebase Authentication account and active app profile identifiers.
What may be kept
- Subscription and purchase records held by Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat, which may be retained for transaction, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or legal obligations. We do not store your full payment details. Deleting your account does not cancel an active store subscription.
- Pseudonymous diagnostic or analytics events held by our diagnostics providers, subject to their retention settings, and anonymous aggregated data that no longer identifies you. These records do not contain your photos.
- A technical deletion lock containing the Firebase uid and one-way recovery digests, but no photos or user content, is used solely to block or clean up delayed uploads. After deletion completes, the lock expires 14 days later and is subsequently removed asynchronously by managed TTL; while deletion remains incomplete, the lock is retained until a retry succeeds or manual handling resolves it.
- A separate minimal, unenumerable, opaque deletion-recovery proof is retained without expiration solely so an offline or delayed device can confirm completion and erase its local copies. It contains no raw identifier, email address, photo, user content, or raw recovery key.
Retention
Active service copies are removed when the App confirms that deletion completed. Access-restricted Google Cloud Storage recovery copies may remain for up to 7 days and are then automatically permanently deleted. After deletion completes, the technical deletion lock expires 14 days later and is subsequently removed asynchronously by managed TTL; an incomplete-deletion lock remains until a retry succeeds or manual handling resolves it. The content-free opaque deletion-recovery proof described above has no expiration because an offline device may return after that lock has expired; it is not used for analytics, advertising, or profiling. If the App reports that deletion did not complete, sign in again and retry or contact support.
